Our sweeping farm, with its lush woods, grassy hills, and long sunset views, provides an idyllic backdrop for any event. And our barn and farmhouse offer a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate gatherings both large and small. Whatever your plans, you'll feel right at home at Watergrass.
Watergrass is a 30-acre horse farm set in a secluded residential area ten minutes south of downtown Chapel Hill. Bordered by post-and-rail fencing on one side and dense forest on the other, the farm offers spectacular views, especially at sunset. Wedding planners can choose between two outdoor ceremony sites, while indoor ceremonies can be held in the barn. The farm also features two separate entrances for guests, three parking areas, and illuminated brick paths leading to both the farmhouse and the barn.
Our fully renovated barn provides a charming setting for any special occasion. With its flexible layout, hardwood dance floor, brass chandeliers, and polished copper bar top, the barn will bring your vision to life, accommodating both intimate and larger festivities. An open-air patio at the entrance is ideal for champagne receptions, and a partially covered patio out back is a great spot for the band to set up. A separate building just a few steps away houses well-appointed climate-controlled restrooms.
Perfect for wedding weekends or Carolina Homecoming Weekend, our farmhouse offers cozy, up-to-date accommodations with breathtaking views of the farm. Its two full bathrooms and bedrooms, each furnished with a king bed and a twin, can sleep six. A spacious living area adjoining the primary bedroom serves beautifully as a bridal suite. The farmhouse also features a fully equipped kitchen with cherry countertops, an island bar, and a dining table with seating for six.
